Activist Norman Tumuhimbise, the author of a self-published book titled “Behind the Devil’s Line,” says he wants Ugandans to question why the country’s president has held power for 27 years.
Tumuhimbise, who has been questioned by police over charges that his work defames President Yoweri Museveni, said Tuesday that he is secretly selling copies through trusted agents after bookstores refused to carry the book.
John Kazoora, a retired Ugandan army officer who also wrote a book of Museveni’s alleged duplicity said he believes state agents bought most of the 16,000 copies sold so far and probably destroyed them.
