Exiting LPA to continue to bring rains in PH–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area (LPA) on its way out of the Philippine area of responsibility will continue to bring rains in the country, the state weather bureau said Tuesday.

The LPA was last seen 230 kilometers west of Ambulong, Batangas, and was embedded along the intertropical convergence zone affecting the whole country, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Mimaropa will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, Pagasa said.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Light to moderate winds coming from the southwest to southeast will prevail over the rest of Luzon. The coastal waters along these areas will be with slight to moderate, Pagasa said.
