Farmer killed after running amok
A 25-year-old farmer died after the father of his live-in partner hit his head with a hoe inside their house in barangay Ablayan, Dalaguete town, southern Cebu.
Police identified the fatality as Robert Cadenas, a native of Surigao City.
Police said Cadenas was drunk when he arrived home Saturday night.
At home, Cadenas ran amok and started destroying things inside the house while looking for a fight, police said.
Rufino and his son Raul asked Cadenas to calm down when he grabbed his one-year-old son while holding a knife, said P03 Maximo Belciña of the Dalaguete Police Station.
When Cadenas continued to act violently, Rufino and Raul tried to grab the knife from the man.
