THE Teleperformance Lions pulled off a one-sided 82-38 win over the Talleco Bandits last Saturday in the 2013 E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
It was a double celebration for Telepeformance as Talleco’s 69-57 win over the Lions last June 22 was nullified due to some inconsistencies in the records of some its players.
With this development, Teleperformance now has three wins and four losses, while Talleco fell to 0-5 (win-loss).
In the other game, the Lexmark Stallions nailed their fifth victory in seven outings by trouncing the SSI Warriors, 77-58.
The Sykes Pioneers, on the hand, cruised to their fourth victory in six games via a close 65-63 win over the Wipro Tigers.
Down by a point in the closing seconds, 63-64, the Tigers had a chance to move ahead but Ray Castañares stole the ball from John Paul Cabrera. Cabrera then fouled Castañares, who made one of his two free throws in the final nine seconds that sealed Sykes’win./EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D. CORDOVA
