Sick woman needs help
MANILA, Philippines — Realonda Flores’ goiter has started to prevent her from carrying out her duties as a mother to her seven children.
Her husband, Bernardo, a security guard in the Inquirer office, said that doctors at Emilio Aguinaldo Hospital in Trece Martirez City had advised his wife to refrain from doing heavy household work.
“But who will look after our young children while I am away at work?” Bernardo said.
The couple’s youngest child is only aged one.
Bernardo said his wife needed to undergo an operation to correct her condition. The procedure, however, will cost them P45,000, an amount they cannot afford.
