2 Koreans shot, wounded in Cebu City robbery
CEBU CITY—Two Korean students were shot and wounded by two unidentified men who tried to rob and abduct their female companion, also a Korean, on Tuesday in Barangay (village) Mabolo, Cebu City.
Police identified the victims as Choi Soon Shul, 22, and Heo Yekang, 27, who are temporarily staying on F. Cabahug Street, Barangay Mabolo.
Choi suffered a gunshot wound in the left face while Heo was hit in the right arm.
Police investigation showed that the two Korean men were walking home with their female companion, Anna Ho, 26, past 10 p.m. on Tuesday when four men on board separate motorcycles arrived.
They got off from the motorcycles and approached Ho. They grabbed Ho’s bag but the woman put up a fight.
The perpetrators then tried to take Ho but was stopped by Choi and Heo who were shot instead.
