FRUIT VENDOR KILLED

A FRUIT vendor was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants in barangay Hipodromo, Cebu City.

Ritchie Diabordo, 36, died on the spot with gunshot wounds in the head and chest.

Police said illegal drug connections is being looked into as possible motive for the attack.

Police said Diabordo was walking along a road on his way to the market when he was gunned down past 10 p.m. Tuesday.

The assailants drove off, leaving the victim slumped on the ground.

The victim was declared dead when he was brought to the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).

POLICE BIKE STOLEN

A GOVERNMENT-owned motorcycle that has been issued to the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LLCPO) was stolen while it was parked outside the LLCPO headquarters.

Senior Insp. Zenaido Pastorfide Jr., chief of the homicide section of LLCPO, said the motorcycle with plate number SF-8241 has been missing since July 3.

Pastorfide said he thought that the motorcycle was just used by another policeman.

He said he wanted to use the motorcycle last July 5 and it was only then that he discovered that the motorcycle was missing.

MAN HURT IN SRP MISHAP

A MAN was wounded after the motorcycle he was driving was hit by a car at the South Road Properties in Cebu City.

Ruelito Limpag sustained head injuries.

Limpag was heading for Cebu City when he met the accident yesterday morning.

A Toyota Vios driven by Engelbert Empuerto was about to overtake another vehicle but ended up hitting Limpag’s motorcycle, said PO2 Franklin Bulaquia.

The impact threw Limpag off the motorcycle.
