A 39-year-old man was shot dead by a still-unidentified assailant in barangay Bogho, Moalboal town, southern Cebu.
Alfredo Laris succumbed to gunshot wounds in the head and back.
Police investigation revealed that the victim was attacked while he was driving his motorcycle on his way home past 1 a.m. yesterday
Police said Laris was negotiating a curve when the assailant opened fire.
Some residents in the area told police that they heard two gunshots and later found Laris sprawled on the ground.
Police said lobe triangle is one of the angles being looked into as possible motive.
Police said it was possible that the assailant used a revolver pistol since there were no empty shells found at the crime scene. /CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
