ANTHONY Devos and Rochelle Tan left their opponents biting dust as they clinched the overall titles of their respective divisions in yesterday’s 2013 Sogod Mayor Moonyeen Durano Triathlon Cup at the Alegre Beach Resort.
Devos was in a class of his own with his time of two hours, 17 minutes and 30 seconds for the Standard Male Overall title.
Coming in almost 10 minutes behind to settle for second place was Joseph Miller (2:27:12) while salvaging third place was Alvirg Ramirez Busa with a time of 2:44:24.
The Standard Female Overall title went to Tan as she proved she is still a triathlete to be reckoned with after her down-the-wire finish against Cianyl Jamae Gonzales.
Tan clocked 3:00:16 while Gonzales was just a second behind with a time of 3:01:23. Completing the top 3 in the Standard Female Open was Rosalie Ardiente, who came in with a time of 3:54:43.

The Chiongbian brothers continued dominating the local scene as they once again finished first and second in the Male Mini Sprint.
Justin Liam Chiongbian took first place with a time of 39:56. The younger Fredric Albert Yuan was just three minutes behind with a time of 43:11.
The third place was notched by Richmond John Emmanuel Seville, who clocked 1:04:26.
The Mini Sprint Female Open title went to Lorraine Hann, who crossed the finish line at 1:16:09.
The Sprint distance was ruled by Ian Gerard Rusiana and Loveleinell Casidsid.
Rusiana clinched the Male Open title after crossing the finish line with a time of 1:23:21.
Casidsid, on the other hand, clocked 1:53:09 for the Female Open title.
Rusiana was flanked by Keith Ashley Ocampo (1:30:57) and Jezrel Villarete (1:35:55).
Finishing second and third to Casidsid, respectively, were Maricel Maniquis (2:08:27) and Gabby Salimbangon (2:14:36).
Other triathletes who topped their respective categories were Oliver Tan (Male 16-24), Jay Bryan Lawas (Male 25-29), Jan Dennis Sinda (Male 30-34), Christian Uy (Male 35-39), Eugene Sanchez (Male 40-44), Dixon Tiu (Male 45-49), Roelf Haverkamp (Male 50 and Over), June-Marq Ocana (Female 30-39) and Team Dansereau in the Standard Relay. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G.
