Alan Peter Cayetano is Senate’s Majority Floor Leader

MANILA, Philippines—Senator Alan Peter Cayetano is the new Majority Floor Leader of the Senate.

Cayetano was nominated by Senator Benigno Aquino IV and was seconded by senator Juan Edgardo Angara during the opening session of the Senate Monday.

There was no other nomination for the position and he took his oath with his family and sister senator Pia Cayetano.

He was also chosen as chairman of the Committee of Rules.
