MANILA, Philippines—The state weather bureau said Monday morning that Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon would be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms on the day President Aquino will deliver his State of the Nation Address, or SONA.
Aquino will deliver his fourth SONA before a joint session of Congress on Monday afternoon at the Batasan Complex in Quezon City.
An intertropical convergence zone, meanwhile, is affecting Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its weather bulletin issued Monday morning.
Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over the western section of southern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest to southeast with slight to moderate seas.
