Jawad Cup slated Aug. 31

THE ANNUAL Erne Jawad Memorial Table Tennis tournament will be held from Aug. 31 to Sept. 1 at the Cebu City Sports Center.

The championship, one of the biggest table tennis tournaments in Cebu City, is expected to attract some of the best paddlers in the region, including the vaunted paddlers from the University of Cebu headed by Jessica Honoridez.

The tournament will have boys and girls singles under-13, boys and girls under 18, women and men’s open, liha singles and team open, boys and girls team under 13 and the men’s and women’s team event.

The format of the tournament will be on a knockout system. International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) rules will be implemented during the competition.

Registration fee is P150 for the individual events and P800 for the men’s and liha team event. The boys and girls team under-13 team event registration fee is pegged at P200. Cash prizes,trophies and medals will be given to winners.
