Robbery suspect dead in alleged vigilante attack in Manila

MANILA, Philippines—A supposed snatcher was found dead Friday morning, four days after another lifeless man was found in what appeared to be a second case of vigilante killing in Sampaloc, Manila, Radyo Inquirer 990AM reported.

The body of the second man was discovered by pedestrians at the intersection of Laon Laan and Gelenios Streets around 5 a.m. It was wrapped in a brown blanket and bearing a placard with the message: “Snatcher ako huwag pamarisan (I’m a snatcher, don’t emulate my deeds).”

The man, believed to be between 25 to 30 years old, was wearing a t-shirt and brown khaki pants. His hands, legs and neck were tied with a nylon cord.

On Monday, another body was found on Lacson Avenue in Sampaloc.

The lifeless man’s head was covered in plastic garbage bag and with a placard saying, “Holdaper ako, susunod na ang snatcher (I am a holdup man, next will be the snatcher.”
