MANILA, Philippines—Lightning killed two children and injured two others in Bantay, Ilocos Sur, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Friday.

Rhea Jane, 8, and Raymund Jay Maseliones, 11, died after being struck by the lightning in Brgy. Farola around 9:10 p.m. on Wednesday, hours before Tropical Storm “Isang” (international codename: Cimaron) left the Philippines.

Two others, Evelyn and Elejo Cabarsi, aged 31 and 23 respectively, suffered minor injuries from the lightning incident.
