One killed, another hurt in Basilan blast

ZAMBOANGA CITY — One person was killed while another was hurt in a grenade explosion inside a house in Lamitan City in Basilan on Wednesday morning.

Lamitan Mayor Roderick Furigay said the 5:30 a.m. blast happened inside the house of  Reynaldo delos Santos in the village of Matibay.

Killed was Sapiya Mansul, wife of a village chairman in the town of Moh Ajul. Wounded was Sonia delos Santos.

Police are still investigating the incident.
