Cebuano Paypa to face Abila in ALA-Cobra Boxing card

CEBUANO Jimmy Paypa will try to stop Christian Abila of Manila in their 10-round non-title bout in the 125-pound division of the Cobra Tunay Na Lakas Boxing card at the Bay Center of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental this Sunday.

ALA Boxing Gym’s Ilonggo boxers from Bacolod will also showcase their wares in the fight card put up by ALA Boxing Promotions in partnership with Cobra Energy Drink.

Leading the cast of the young Ilonggo boxers is Roland Servania, the younger brother of WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight champion Genesis Servania. Roland will fight Zamboanga del Norte’s Jonas Sultan in the 115-pound division.

Another Ilonggo in the cast is Juren Labordo, who will fight Ricky Sabia from the Elorde Stable in Manila in the 114-pound division.

Other bouts include Romel Redondon vs. Raul Yu of Butuan City; Junjie Ibgos vs Lyndon Castillo; Roniel Parcon vs. Vonjeryl Gino of Butuan City; John Rey Melligen vs. Jemart Amlani of Zamboanga del Norte; and Alvin Sibugan vs. Dumaguete City’s Steve Recaborda. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
