Healthy Home, Mortaflex lead semifinal cast in UABC hoop
THE FINAL four cast has been completed in the 2013 United Architects Basketball Club First Conference after the top contenders logged crucial wins during the elimination round games last Sunday at the Cebu Eastern College gym.
The league-leading Healthy Home and Mortaflex prevailed over their respective opponents to keep their lofty perches atop the league standings.
Healthy Home outlasted Clean Air, 110-103, while Mortaflex downed Coolshades, 83-74. Both Healthy Home and Mortaflex own identical records of 6-2 (win-loss) but are not out of the woods yet. Close behind in third place is Fractalis, which beat Primeguard, 78-73.
Fractalis totes a 5-3 mark, while Coolshades rounds out the top four with two more games remaining in this round.
Clean Air and Primeguard are officially out of the running with their 2-6 and 1-7 cards, respectively.
Healthy Home had six players score in double figures led by the 28 of Mike Cinco. Every point was needed to offset the monster 42-point performance of reigning league MVP Jay-R Decatoria.
For Mortaflex, the ever-reliable Ferdinand Tiro scored 20 points to lead the way. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
