Child-caring center seeks parents of abandoned boy

THE Albert Schweitzer Familienwerk Foundation Philippines Inc.’s (ASFFPI) Children’s Haven is seeking the assistance of the public in locating the parents and relatives of a three-year-old boy.

The boy, only known as Dodong, was found along Colon Street, Cebu City on May 25, 2012 by Marlene Quindao. He was referred to the Parian Drop-In Center on the same day.

Dodong claimed that his mother is “Deding” and his father “Teting.”

He is now under the custody of the Children’s Haven.

The ASFFPI Children’s Haven is requesting the parents and relatives of Dodong to contact social workers Ligaya Maquiling and Mitchie Sumalinog or executive director Martiniana Mercado at 4967608 or visit their office in barangay Pilipog, Cordova, Mactan Island, Cebu.

Failure of the parties to appear or claim Dodong within one month will subject the child for legal abandonment in court.
