Call for applications for Exchange Study abroad

THE American Field Service Intercultural Programs or AFS IPP is searching for qualified candidates – third year to fourth year high school students aged 15-17, and college students for the Core Program– to travel, live, and study abroad on the AFS intercultural exchange programs and learning opportunities for 2014-2015.

AFS IPP national staff will be in Cebu City today to interview and select applicants.

The selection camp is in cooperation with Nichibunken Organization and will be held at the audio-visual room 2 of University of the Philippines Cebu in Lahug, Cebu City.

Each year, 13,000 participants go on an AFS exchange program supported by 44,000 volunteers, staff, families and schools in the AFS Global Network.

There are 53 partners in the global AFS Network and 80 destinations around the world.

This year, highlighted programs for the selection camp are as follows: Core Program to 55 AFS partner countries in AFS Global network, the Hiroshima Program which offers a full scholarship to Japan, the Kizuna Program also offering a full scholarship to Japan, the MEXT 50 program which offers partial scholarship to be granted to only one Filipino student, and the popular Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study program (KL-YES) to the United States of America.
