5.2 quake jolts North Cotabato
MANILA, Philippines – A 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolted North Cotabato Monday morning, a report from Radyo Inquirer 990AM said.
The tectonic earthquake was recorded at 9:28 a.m. with the epicenter plotted seven kilometers northeast of Carmen, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
It had a depth of one kilometer.
Intensity V was felt in Carmen, North Cotabato; Intensity IV in Kabacan and Matalam; Intensity III in Tagum City, Davao del Norte; and Intensity II in Kidapawan City and Koronadal City.
Aftershocks were expected from the quake.
