Bus crash snarls traffic on SLEX northbound lane
MANILA, Philippines—Traffic remains heavy at the northbound lane of the South Luzon Expressway at Alabang viaduct where a provincial bus figured in an accident that injured 14 of its passengers Monday morning.
Jojo Dulce of Skyway, which has jurisdiction over the area, said the accident transpired around 6:53 a.m. after a Cher Transport bus rammed the expressway’s median divider island and outer railing.
“Injured victims sustained bumps and bruises,” Dulce said.
Quoting initial reports, Dulce said the driver might have lost control of his vehicle due to slippery road caused by rains in the area.
The bus has been taken off the area at 7:18 a.m., but traffic remains heavy until Pleasant Ville in Bayanan.
