TRAFFIC was snarled when a live wire was snagged by a backhoe in barangay San Isidro, San Fernando town, southern Cebu yesterday.
The incident took place at the site of an ongoing road-widening project, said PO3 Julius Cesar Arages, traffic investigator.
Police said the backhoe, operated by Armando Fernandez of WTC Construction Inc., hit the electric wire and pulled it down.
The wire fell on a passing Honda Civic sedan driven by Edgar Vasquez, 40.
