Tryout for PFF U-11 team today

Ten Cebuano Under 11 booters will get a chance to be part of a three-week educational and training trip to the United Kingdom to be sponsored by the British Council.

The 10 were part of the 22 picked from the 90 who were scouted during the 2013 Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Regional Festival of Football held last February and March.

Cebuano booters who were preselected then were Tristan Karl Enad, Charles Unabia, Ethan Della, Louie Areglo, Yuan Rena, Paul Mapula, Josh Rupert Asignar, Edward Cho, Louis Buyco and Vince Colina.

The Cebuano selection will join 30 other preselected booters from Iloilo and Dumaguete in a tryout organized by the Cebu Football Association (CFA) today from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the football field of the Cebu City Sports Center.

The tryout will be conducted by national U-11 head coach Eliezer Fabroada and assistant coach Oliver “Bingbing” Colina.

The PFF U-11 selection will leave for the United Kingdom on Aug. 2 and is expected to be back in Manila by Aug. 23.

While there, the selection will be recording a video documentary which will be shown on Studio 23. Whatever revenue is earned by the video documentary will be used to defray the expenses.

Expenses for the trip will be shouldered by the Philippine branch office of the British Council.

While in the United Kingdom, the boys will also be receiving allowances.
