He even “let the dog out” to prevent policemen from arresting his brother who was wanted for murder. But Marvin Limjoco was hauled off to jail instead and ended up being linked to another killing.

Limjoco was first charged with obstruction of justice for abetting the escape of his brother Manny, who was the subject of an arrest warrant served at their house in Barangay Socorro on Thursday.

Once in police custody, Limjoco found himself in double trouble after a witness to another crime tagged him as the man who allegedly shot a coconut vendor dead in Cubao on Tuesday.

A team from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) was only after Manny when it came to serve a warrant in connection with the killing of Albert Man, a Chinese-Filipino gunned down at his residential compound on July 11.

But Marvin and his other family members tried to stop the officers and “even let the pet dog out” to scare them, enabling Manny to run away from the house, said Insp. Alan de la Cruz, the team leader.

“Marvin was arrested for obstruction of justice at first. But later on, a witness pointed to him for being involved in the shooting of a coconut vendor,” De la Cruz added. The slain vendor was identified as Jojo Gomez.

The motorcycle allegedly used by Marvin in shooting Gomez was later found in the family compound, according to the QCPD.
