Rotary Club of Metro Cebu to induct new officers
THE Rotary Club of Metro Cebu (RCMC) will induct its new set of officers for Rotary Year 2013-2014 today at 6 p.m. at the City Sports Club in Cebu Business Park.
Leading the inductees is RCMC’s incoming president Florita Hall, a hotelier and restaurateur.
Also to be inducted are vice president Lewis Campbell, secretary Erwin Llanera, treasurer Frank Crijns, auditor Danny Quinto, protocol officer Rob Hall and public relations officer Eddie Barrita.
The new club directors to be inducted are Gema Luisa Pido for club administration, Edgar Allan Astrologo for club membership, Dr. Neil Oliver Camonggol for service projects, Dr. Vic Balbuena, for community projects, Ingrid Seno for new generation, Lewis Campbell for vocational projects, Lambert Lim Lam Thai for international service, Dr. Wyben Briones for Rotary Foundation, lawyer Rudy Cabrera for Family Rotary and immediate president Frank Crijns.
The Rotary Club of Metro Cebu spearheads the twice a year Operation Restore Hope that has benefitted more than 5,000 children born with hare lips and cleft palates. It is also undertaking various medical missions and community projects.
Dr. Wyben Briones, RCMC past president, is currently spearheading the province-wide anti-dengue mosquito larvicide campaign aimed at controlling and ultimately eradicating dengue-carrying mosquitoes.
