Firemen put out fire in Sampaloc

MANILA, Philippines—The fire that hit a residential area in Manila Tuesday has been put out, a National Capital Region-Bureau of Fire Protection officer said.

The fire gutted a still undetermined number of houses on Loreto Street corner Lacson in Sampaloc, Manila, particularly under the Nagtahan Bridge, Fire Officer 3 Owen Ferrera said.

He said the fire started at 3:54 p.m., and reached third alarm before it was put out at 4:41 p.m.
