MORTAFLEX caught up with erstwhile leaders Healthy Home as they downed Primeguard, 74-69, in the 2013 United Architects Basketball Club (UABC) First Conference last Sunday at the Cebu Eastern College gym.
The win gave Mortaflex a 5-2 (win-loss) record. That, coupled with Healthy Home’s whopping 68-104 loss to Coolshades, forged a tie for the lead in the standings.
Ferdinand Tiro did the most damage for Mortaflex as he tallied 13 points, 16 rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Coolshades, meanwhile,rode on the stellar shooting of club president Criz Matunog, who followed up his 46-point performance in their last game with a 34-point explosion.
In the last of the Sunday triple-header, Fractalis won over Clean Air, 87-74, with Genaro Bejo submitting 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Darwin Tan added 13 while Oliver Tan had 11 points, 14 rebounds and five assists.
Fractalis and Coolshades now share third place with similar records of 4-3 while Clean Air tumbled down to 2-5. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
