Tan lifts Wipro over Accenture
VIOLETO Tan Jr. played the hero’s role for Wipro, converting a layup with three seconds left to lift the Tigers to a pulsating 67-65 win over the erstwhile unbeaten Accenture Sharks last Sunday in the 2013 E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
The game-winning layup capped Tan’s game-long brilliance as he wound up with a game-high 21 points to lead the Tigers’ third straight win in as many games.
Reinario Salibay Jr. gave Tan the needed support as he chipped in 11 points.
Also tallying a nail-biting win were the Calltek Trojans, who pulled off a 67-64 triumph over the 1&1 Marauders.
Mark Louise Gellez and Christian Judilla carried the Trojans by firing 22 points apiece as Calltek stretched their winning run to four to improve to 4-1 (win-loss).
