Burglars take P200K from QC church

Thieves bore a hole into the roof and ceiling of a church in Cubao, Quezon City, and took more than P200,000 in cash from the pastor’s office, the police said Thursday.

The burglary at the Jesus the Messiah church on Aurora Boulevard was discovered at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday by one of its staffers, Claire Ausan.

Case investigator SPO1 Victor Baquedqued of the Cubao police station said the break-in happened while the church was locked up between 7:30 p.m. on Monday until the time Ausan arrived the following morning.

Taken from the office of Pastor Vicente Buenaventura was more than P215,000 in cash.
