Evelyn Senajon is back as chief of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
Gov. Hilario Davide III issued a memorandum appointing her to head PSWDO, replacing Marivic Garces who was reinstated last week by former Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia.
“Last Monday during his (Davide) first day as governor, he called me and officially, he told me that I will continue being OIC of the social welfare office,” Senajon told reporters yesterday.
Meanwhile, Davide transferred Garces to the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Neil Sanchez.
Garces continued to report to her office yesterday but refused to grant media interviews.
“Even then when I did not receive the appointment, I already reported here because there’s a lot of work to do especially this month where we have activities for the PWDs (persons with disabilities),” she said.
Davide said he is still continuing the assessment of the performance of other department heads.
Until then, he said the possibility of additional reshuffling could be underway.
Last Tuesday, he swore in his chief of staff Atty. Ramil Abing, provincial administrator Atty. Mark Tolentino, PIO head officer Ethel Natera, provincial attorney Orvie Ortega and staff members James Canoy and Suzette Tudtud.
