Free running clinic set

FITNESS and health advocate and certified fitness science specialist Jim Saret will share his knowledge to Cebuano running buffs this weekend in the Milo R2:APEX Running Clinic which is offered free of charge at the Cebu City Sports Center.

More than a hundred running buffs, coaches and hard core runners will join the two-day clinic which will tackle the scientific side of running including injury prevention, strength and conditioning workouts, running drills and recovery and injury rehabilitation.

Saret is also the man behind the Fit-Fil Philippines fitness boot camp which was staged here several times.

Milo Marathon Cebu Leg organizer Ricky Ballesteros said the activity will serve as preparation of the 37th Milo Marathon. The Cebu Leg will kick off on Sept. 22.

“We are inviting coaches and runners to take part in the two-day clinic. They will learn a lot of things from Saret,” said Ballesteros.

The Saturday session will be from 3-6 p.m. while the Sunday clinic will be from 6-9 in the morning. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
