Traffic slow in parts of metro due to rain–MMDA

MANILA, Philippines — Continuous rain early Wednesday slowed down traffic in parts of Metro Manila, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.

Johnson Francisco of MMDA-Metrobase said traffic was slow moving from Timog all the way to Buendia southbound and from Malibay to the Magallanes Flyover on the northbound lane.

Moderate to heavy traffic was reported along Mc Kinley towards Guadalupe.

At C5, traffic is moderate  on the southbound lane of C.P. Garcia until Ateneo de Manila in Katipunan; and in Ortigas until Bagong Ilog.

Traffic is slow from Market! Market! to Bagong Ilog Flyover on the northbound lane.

Traffic is moderate on Eastwood towards Boni Serrano and at the Katipunan Flyover to Gate 1 of Ateneo.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical, Astronomical Services Administration raised a thunderstorm alert over Metro Manila and nearby areas early Wednesday as it warned residents against “heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flashfloods”.
