Bibat eyes second straight title

MICHAEL BIBAT’S bid for a second straight title commences today as he tees off early along with Jay Bayron and Miguel Tabuena at the start of the ICTSI Del Monte Championship today at the Del Monte Golf Club in Bukidnon.

The featured threesome is set to tee off at 7:30 a.m. with Bibat hard-pressed to come up with a strong start to fuel his bid for back-to-back wins after humbling a stellar field to rule the ICTSI Rancho Palos Verdes Classic in Davao last week.

It was Bibat’s first-ever victory in a five-year pro career and it came after he fended off the challenges of the tour’s big guns one after the other with a steady backside stint.

His bearing will be put in an early test with Bayron and Tabuena expected to likewise press their respective drives early for a second leg win on the ICTSI Philippine Golf Tour./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
