Suspected Pangasinan robbers killed in shootout

DAGUPAN CITY – Two suspected members of a notorious robbery-hold up group were killed in a shootout Saturday night in Asingan, Pangasinan.

Aguiles Senagan and Jose Gabayan, suspected members of the Ozamis robbery-hold up operating in Metro Manila, died from gunshot wounds when they engaged the policemen, Senior Supt. Marlou Chan, Pangasinan police director said.

Chan said the two fatalities were aboard a taxi when a composite group of law enforcers intercepted them along the national road in Barangay Bantog in Asingan town at about 7:20 p.m. on Saturday.

One of the fatalities opened fire as law enforcers approached the taxi, prompting the police to fire back.
