MAN NABBED IN DRUG BUST
A 27-YEAR-OLD man was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Pasil, Cebu City Friday afternoon.
The target of the raid was Lovely Quirante but she was able to evade arrest.
Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA) ended up arresting Quirante’s 27-year-old brother Roxan.
Roxan allegedly served as lookout when a poseur-buyer bought packs of suspected shabu worth P5,000 from Lovely, said Jessie Tabanao, information officer of PDEA-7.
Lovely, however, noticed the presence of PDEA-7 operatives and escaped through the back door of their house.
Roxan also tried to escape but was cornered by the arresting team.

ATTACKED BY NEIGHBORS
A 38-YEAR-OLD man was hospitalized after he was hacked by his neighbor in barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City.
Zosimo Quibo-Quibo sustained hack wounds in different parts of the body.
The man was taken to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital before he was transferred to a hospital in Cebu City.
The suspect, Berto Paso, 40, was arrested after the incident.
Police are still hunting other neighbors who allegedly connived with Paso in attacking Quibo-Quibo. They were identified as Petronilo Canoy, 48, Aiden Bello, 24, Virgie Paso, 60 and Barbara Paso, 40.
Before the attack, police said Quibo-Quibo tried to pacify his live-in partner who was arguing with Virgie.
Police said Berto intervened and punched Quibo-Quibo.
