Falcons gunn for 4th straight win

Games Thursday (Araneta Coliseum)
1 p.m. – UP vs. FEU
3 p.m. – Adamson vs. NU

THE Adamson Soaring Falcons will gun for their fourth straight win today even as the Far Eastern University Tamaraws try to arrest a three-game losing streak in the 74th UAAP basketball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Falcons have put themselves in command of solo second place with a 6-2 record but today, they will face the last squad to hand them a loss — the National University Bulldogs. The Bulldogs, on the strength of Bobby Ray Parks and Emmanuel Mbe, stunned the Falcons last July 31, 63-56.

Meanwhile, two teams that are going through some growing pains will collide as FEU takes on the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons.

The Maroons are going into the this game with an ace up their sleeves as their last win came at the expense of these very same Tamaraws last Aug. 4, when they won, 76-73. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
