MAASIN City — Rising superflyweight Albert Pagara kept his unbeaten run last Tuesday after stopping Rogen Flores of Dipolog City in the fourth round in the main event of the “Maasin Pride” card at the Maasin City Gymnasium.

Pagara had trouble figuring out the southpaw Flores in the opening round but started to find his mark in the second highlighted by the fight’s first knockdown with a sharp right uppercut.

Flores got up but quickly but went down again courtesy of a counter right hook from Pagara. The veteran Flores survived the round and tried to make a fight out of it in the third with his solid hooks. In the fourth, Pagara sent Flores down again with a barrage of punches prompting the latter’s corner to throw in the towel.
