MANILA, Philippines – The entire province of Camarines Sur experienced an outage Thursday afternoon due to an emergency shutdown of transmission facilities, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said.
“NGCP serves notice of emergency shutdown of some of its transmission facilities in CAMARINES SUR today June 27 @ 2pm – 5pm,” NGCP tweeted on its official Twitter account @NGCP_ALERT
The outage was due to the “conduct of hotspot correction on the high voltage terminals of the new Naga transformer 2 and 69KV current transformer affecting franchise area of CASURECO 1,2,3 and 4,” it said.
