Fernandez turns over transition report to JVR

OUTGOING Talisay City Mayor Socrates Fernandez turned over the transition documents to his successor Johnny Delos Reyes yesterday morning.

Fernandez thanked Talisay City government employees especially the City Hall department heads who have been with him in his “nine-year journey” as mayor.

Fernandez whose third and last term as mayor ends noontime of June 30, 2013 will take on another role, as member of the City Council.

Fernandez is confident that Delos Reyes’ administration will promote programs that will help the city’s poor.

For his part, Delos Reyes thanked City Hall’s department heads for welcoming him.

He plans to implement programs on poverty alleviation, health and job generation once he formally reports to office as local chief executive on July 1.

With the transition documents now submitted to the new administration, Delos Reyes and his staff will review it to determine if there are discrepancies in it.
