WBO Minimumweight title challenger Jorle Estrada of Colombia (17-6, 6 KOs), Mexicans fighters Arturo Badillo and Abraham Gomez will arrive in the country on July 8 along with their trainers and managers for their July 13 battle against ALA Gym stalwarts in the “Pinoy Pride XXI: When Worlds Collide” at the Solaire Resort and Casino in Manila.
Estrada will face current WBO minimumweight champion Merlito ‘El Tigre’ Sabillo (22-0, 11 KOs) in the main event of the fight card put up by ALA Boxing Promotions. Estrada is ranked currently number six in the minimumweight division of the WBO. He is the current South American Minimumweight champion looking to extend his winning streak to five against Sabillo.
He won the South American mininumweight title against fellow Colombian Jose Antonio Jimenez and went on a three-win streak in Colombia.
Fomer WBA super flyweight champion, Badillo (21-4, 19 KOs) will face the undefeated OPBF superflyweight champion ‘King’ Arthur Villanueva (22-0, 12 KOs) in the co-main event for the vacant WBO Asia-Pacific super flyweight title.
On the other hand, Gomez ( 18-7-1, 9 KOs) will face the comebacking AJ “Bazooka” Banal (28-2-1, 20 KOs) in the undercard.
The three Latino boxers will have a series of media appearances in Manila which will also include public workouts.
Meanwhile, the unbeaten ALA Gym prospect Prince Albert Pagara (16-0,11KOs) will be fighting Thai Phum Kunmat (9-4-1,5KOs) in the undercard. Kunmat will arriv e on July 10 along with his trainer.
