Gas station worker finds fetus in toilet
A five-month-old fetus that had started to decompose was discovered in the men’s room of a gasoline station in Novaliches, Quezon City, on Tuesday morning.
The grisly find was made by Doresa Olaya, a stay-in utility worker of the gas station on Quirino Highway, Forest Hills Subdivision.
According to a report from the Quezon City Police District Novaliches station, Olaya was about to clean the toilets at 6 a.m. when she detected a foul smell coming from the men’s room.
Olaya, police investigators said, decided to look for the source of the stench and found the fetus floating inside a urinal. She immediately reported her find to the police.
Case investigator Police Officer 3 Diomedes Labasay said that none of the gas station employees could say who could have dumped the fetus inside the toilet.
He added that none of them had noticed anything unusual before the discovery was made.
