3 UNA senators-elect to take oath before Binay, Enrile

MANILA, Philippines – Three members of the  United Nationalist Alliance  (UNA), who won  in the last May senatorial race, will take their oaths of office on Friday.

Re-elected Senator Gregorio Honasan and Senator-elect Jose Victor Ejercito  will  take their oaths before Vice President Jejomar Binay in his office in Pasay City while Senator-elect Nancy Binay will take hers before resigned Senate President Juan  Ponce-Enrile, said a text  advisory from the Office of the Vice President.

Nancy Binay, who ranked 5th in  the  senatorial race, is  the Vice President’s  daughter.

Before this, Nancy Binay was  scheduled to pay a courtesy call to Acting  Senate President  Jose “Jinggoy”  Estrada  at 3 p.m.  this Wednesday.

Estrada was appointed to take the place of Enrile, who resigned as Senate President, early this June.
