MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Air Force has identified the two missing pilots from the ill-fated OV-10 plane that went missing in Palawan Sunday night.

The two are Major Jonathan Ybanez and First Lieutenant Abner Trust Nacion, according to Colonel Miguel Ernesto Okol, PAF spokesman.

He added that the fate of the two, who are still listed missing, remains unknown.

Ybanez is a graduate of the Philippine Air Force Officer Candidate School 1999 while Nacion is from the Philippine Military Academy Class of 2009.

“The search will continue until the wreckage are found and the fate of the two officers known,” Okol said.

On Tuesday, the Philippine Air Force contracted the use of Sonar equipment to complement other equipment being used in the search.
