MANILA, Philippines—An intertropical convergence zone in Mindanao will bring rains to the area, according to the state weather bureau.
“Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said early Tuesday.
Nine areas in Maguindanao have remained flooded due to rains, based on a report from the Office of Civil Defense–Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and the Visayas will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy but isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon or evening, Pagasa said.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over Luzon and the Visayas and from the east to northeast over Mindanao.
The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slightly or moderately rough, it added.
