MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Justice (DoJ) has approved the filing of carnapping with homicide case against alleged leaders of a carnapping syndicate Roger and Raymond Dominguez.
Prosecutor General Claro Arellano confirmed that a complaint for carnapping with homicide will be filed against the two brothers for the death of Emerson Lozano early this year.
Arellano said there is probable cause to file a case for carnapping with homicide against them.
Carnapping with homicide is a special complex crime that carries the penalty of reclusion perpetua.
Arellano said no bail has been recommended for the temporary liberty of the two.
Lozano, together with his driver Ernanie Sencil, was killed last January 12.
Lozano’s body was found in Pampanga while Sencil’s charred remains were discovered in Tarlac.
