TOP LONG-DISTANCE runners headed by the Kenyans are gearing up for this Sunday’s 21-kilometer race of the 3rd Hunat Sugbo Run: Dagan Para Ni Maning of the Cebu Parklane International Hotel.

According to Parklane’s security manager Nick Nacorda, a total of 688 long-distance runners have already signed up for the running event, which starts at the Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces. He also said that the total number of registrants as of this writing is at 1,688, including those who registered in the 10k and 5k distances.

He expects the number to rise on race day since they are accepting on-site registrants.

The proceeds of the running event will go to the hotel’s medical mission slated July 6 with the partnership of Jesu Cristi Community of Cebu and the Gualandi Volunteer Service Programme Inc. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
