Gasca, Aducal make weight, ALA-Cobra boxing tonight in Bantayan
ROLI Gasca of the ALA Gym and his opponent Jimmy Aducal made the required weight to set the stage for their main event battle tonight in the ALA-Cobra ‘Tunay na Lakas’ fight card on Bantayan Island.
Gasca weighed in at 122.5 lbs while Aducal stepped in at 122 lbs during the official weigh-in held at the Gaisano Country Mall yesterday noon.
Gasca (19W-4L-1D, 5 KOs), who hails from Barili, Cebu, once held the PABA and OPBF regional titles. Aducal (6W-1L-2D, 5 KOs) has won via the short route against his last five opponents. This will be a non-title bout.
For the supporting main event, unbeaten prospect Mark Acub (11W-0L, 9 KOs) also of the ALA Gym will go against Rene Bestudio (15W-4L-4D, 5 KOs).
Acub weighed 135 lbs while Bestudio tipped the scales at 132 lbs. The weigh-in was supervised by Glen Agena and Rolando Mendoza of GAB-Cebu.
Also set to see action are popular ring comedian Jojo Intor vs. Ivor Lastrilla (4 rds), Engelbert Moralde vs. Junior Salvador (6 rds), John Vincent Moralde vs. Rolando Navarette Jr. (6 rds) and Kim Galon vs. Ryan Canillas (4 rds).
