MANILA, Philippines—Although no weather disturbance was monitored by the state weather bureau Friday afternoon, southwest monsoon would continue to affect the western section of Luzon.
The Mimaropa region—comprised of the provinces of Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan—will experience monsoon rains, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
“The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening,” it added.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere winds will be light to moderate coming from the southeast to south with slight to moderate seas.
