Metro Manila, Central Luzon warned against flashfloods, landslides

MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration warned residents of Metro Manila and nearby provinces Friday afternoon against flashfloods and landslides.

A thunderstorm advisory issued by the state weather bureau at 1:10 p.m. said heavy rains would affect Metro Manila; the Bulacan towns of Obando, San Ildefonso, San Miguel and San Rafael; Capas, Tarlac; and Botolan,  Zambales in the next two hours.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flashfloods. Keep monitoring for updates,” Pagasa said.
