Korean national accused of bribery

POLICE arrested a Korean national after he allegedly tried to bribe enforcers of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) who apprehended him for a traffic violation in barangay Lapu-Lapu City on Tuesday morning.

Jeong Il Sun, 56, was driving a Hyundai Starex van when he was flagged down by LTO enforcers.  Jeong didn’t stop that resulted to a brief chase.

LTO enforcers eventually cornered the Korean, who failed to a present a driver’s license.

The Korean allegedly tried to bribe the LTO agents with P1,000 in exchange for his release.
